How I Became Famous

I even had a street named after me shortly after. This was very unexpected but greatly appreciated. Walking down Russel Street with my friends and family made me feel happy. It reminded me how life can surprise us in surprising ways!

Heya therea! Ima Cheecha (AKA ETHAN RUSSEL). Today, I am sharing the story I have to thank for my fame and notoriety. And oh boy, it's a doozy, so you better tune in. This story highlights how a hockey game swung me into the spotlight.

It was a special Friday in March. My mother had scored three free tickets to a hockey game. Odds were against us going due to higher powers, however we manifested and overcame this issue. Our determination was unteachable.

Before the game, we were pregaming. That is, pregaming with the legendary Jimmy Johns. The sandwich was electric. And little did the Jimmy Johns employee know, he would be one of the last people to see me before fame had struck me.

Stepping into the stadium, we felt the drive from the team to beat Zero Point Iowa (The state formerly known simply as "Iowa"). The crowed cheered and roared yelling "Lets go Griffins!", which obviously had an impact on their performance. However, this is only one side of the story here.

Between periods, we were patiently waiting for the game to start again. The jumbotron was keeping the crowd entertained. I shared a photo online sharing how much I love hockey. The tune "Sweet Caroline" soothed the air molecules that we were all breathing in. The anticipation grew and grew knowing of what was to come. And finally... It happened.

The chorus of the song had arrived. I felt all eyes on me. The world was at my finger tips. We celebrated and received high-fives from all around, mostly from the intoxicated girls in front of us. The masses flooded to my website and the rest is history.

Reflecting on the whirlwind of events, one quote from Josh always comes to mind. With a chuckle, he said,

"Who knew a selfie could make you famous, Ethan? You owe me big time for being your wing-man in this!"

I even had a street named after me shortly after. This was very unexpected but greatly appreciated. Walking down Russel Street with my friends and family made me feel happy. It reminded me how life can surprise us in surprising ways.

The street they named after me!

This journey, from taking a simple selfie to being recognized, wouldn't have been possible without my wonderful friends. It shows that life's important moments often come from small acts, like taking a selfie with a friend at a stadium.

Nowadays, the world praises my talents, such as being a cat wisperer. Additionally, many radio stations have been talking about the rumoured upcoming release of a new single by Ethan Russel (Me). I'm not here to say that this isn't a rumour, however I am not denying it. So keep an eye out, and maybe you'll find it 👀 (It grew legs and walked away).

I'll end with a quote to serve as a reminder that greatness can arise from the most unassuming of moments.

"In the quiet whispers of ordinary days, greatness finds its melody." - Jimi Hendrix

It is great to be the most famous person in the world.
